Nothing to miss at a time like now in a place like this So come on, let's go Are you in or out, won't you just say so 'Cause it's time for moving on When part of you is already gone And I still remember every word you said Every word you said It's you and me and here we go The world will never find us This beginning has no end This is where the past begins You and me and here we go With nothing to remind us This beginning has no end This is where the past begins It's so good to know You can feel so strange in a place called home It reminds me of ways I disappointed you my love and with all this time to kill If i can make this right I will I'm not trying to be perfect Just a little bit, just a little bit closer And a little farther from simple complications

Time & place 03:48
This town is way too cold And the nights, the nights are far too long To dream of indifference And you can’t sleep at all I know you’ve got your reasons I know you’ve got your pride And at times when your acting tough Well it might just be enough To find your way So tell me how it’s the time or the place Cause I already knew by the look on your face You did it, you did it, you did it oh! It’s the time or the place Cause I already knew, by the look on your face. I’m staying in tonight With the pictures on my wall As you reach your idols And from the inside out My eyes are open wide You’d think you know I tried With some fate and a little luck Fight the pain though it’s obvious It’s not ok, it’s not ok So tell me how it’s the time or the place Cause I already knew by the look on your face You did it, you did it, you did it oh! It’s the time or the place Cause I already knew, by the look on your face.

Tonight 03:47
Tonight He’s a complicated boy Bleeding for the new day to come Counting rain on the windshield Driving until the gas is gone You can’t understand The beauty in a car crash You can’t stop or look away You can’t look away And we’re all just learning to forget Waiting for our very own 52nd Street Serenade Cause it feels like tonight Could be the best night of our lives Yeah it feels like tonight When a year of wrong could turn to right She’s a complicated girl Trying not to let the cracks show I heard her saying to herself This could be as lonely as an empty heart has felt You can’t understand The beauty in a car crash You can’t stop or look away You can’t look away And we’re all just learning to forget Waiting for our very own 52nd Street Serenade Cause it feels like tonight Could be the best night of our lives Yeah it feels like tonight When a year of wrong could turn to right Realizing for the first time You don’t have to apologize When you’re right When any day’s a good day to die Cause it feels like tonight Could be the best night of our lives Yeah it feels like tonight When a year of wrong could turn to right

From Afar 03:23
Do you feel alright It’s what you’re asking me as you twist the knife Another witness to your emotional suicide How do you sleep at night with all the damage done Oblivious to suspicious looks from everyone (And it feels just like) Our conscious clear our secrets safe our battles won (And if feels just like) There’s nothing left to do but run After all this time I watched you from afar as you went down So where you gonna run to After all this time I watched you from afar as you went down So where you gonna run to Do you wonder why Our greatest gifts become our burdens racing time Track lines leading to the place where you reside The boy that once was here has hidden deep inside I do remember with all the pain you provide (And it feels just like) Treading water living life on borrowed time (And it feels just like) The end is not far from sight

about

This album is the culmination of four years of writing, traveling, playing, drinking and recording in between.

We recorded at four different studios to create this album. With our friend Eugune in his private studio, The Dojo in Chino Hills, CA, Sony Records in Santa Monica, CA and NRG in Hollywood with our dear friend Jeremy Parker.

The music really tells the story of all those travels, different situations, our lives, growing, changing, children and all the different situations we were put through as individuals and a band. The resulting album is a culmination of these experiences as told through Randy's wonderful storytelling ways.

We hope you enjoy listening to this record as much as we enjoyed making it.

Cheers,
The Asphalt
